SoundCloud Raised The Upload Limit of Free Accounts to 3 Hours
SoundCloud is known as the best platform for DJs, Musicians and Producers to upload their work and get it popular among the public. It is currently the biggest music streaming platform. DJs and producers like Tiesto, Avicii, Zedd, Skrillex, Rihanna and Armin Van Burren etc are using soundcloud to promote their music.

User can upload their tracks and podcast in multiple formats here. SoundCloud gives you 3 plans according to your need. One is free and the other two are Paid.

Today when I opened my SoundCloud account, I noticed some major changes in the UI and their upload policy. The best thing I noticed was that SoundCloud has raised the upload limit for free accounts to 3 hours total (180 minutes). Previously, the limit was 2 hours for free accounts.

For people like me who are using the free plans, it is great news. One more hours means you can upload an extra hour long podcast or 30 new demos of 2 minutes.

SoundCloud has also revised their paid plans in terms of price and upload limit. 6 hours limit which was previously available for $29 per year can now be purchased at $6/month or $55/year. Similarly, the unlimited package is set at $15/month or $135/year.

SoundCloud has made their policies strict and I have seen some DJs whose accounts were blocked for no reason. They have also revised their algorithm to stop piracy/copyrighted content.

From the last few months, SoundCloud is continuously changing its UI and uploading policies and in the near future, we are expecting a major change in SoundCloud. So lets wait what they have for us in the future :)
