Cancel a Stuck Print Job in Windows Print Queue

How to Clear a Stuck Print Job

Yesterday I was printing my assigned project. There were multiple files that I had to print. I set the documents in the queue to print and let the printing process begin. Pages were being printed smoothly but unfortunately, the last print job got stuck. I waited for 2-3 minutes but nothing happens. Then I tried to cancel that print job but it didn't clear by keep showing the status "deleting". Now the printer was neither printing nor deleting the print job. You can imagine how annoying that moment would be for anybody

I googled for the solution and found a working method to Cancel or Delete the Stuck Print Job in Windows Print Queue. The method is very simple and easy and you can get rid of the stuck print problem within a minute or two. So lets see How to Clear or Delete a Stuck Print Job?

  • The first thing you have to do is to open Services. To open services, click Start button and type Services in the search box.
Open Services via Start Menu

  • Now find "Print Spooler" in the list and click on Stop button (Don't Close the Window).

Stop-Start Print Spooler
  • Now open Windows Explorer or put this address in the Run Command.
%windir%\System32\spool\PRINTERS
Delete All Files in Spool/Print Folder
